How can I benefit from using a weighted blanket?

From childhood a comforting embrace helps us feel safe, calm and secure. A weighted blanket recreates this soothing sensation by applying gentle, evenly distributed pressure across the body. This encourages relaxation, quiets a busy mind and creates the conditions for deeper, more restful sleep.

Should the weighted blanket be 10% of my body weight?

No. The 10% recommendation is an oversimplified guideline. Because the weight is spread across the full surface area of the blanket, it is important to consider both its size and weight. We recommend:

  • Two adults – Extra Large
  • Single adults and kids older than 9 – Large
  • Kids (ages 4 – 8) – Medium
  • Kids (ages 2 – 4) or as a lap pad – Small 

A weighted blanket is designed to cover the user, not the whole bed, so always choose based on the person using it and not the bed size.

Will it make me feel hot?

No. Our weighted blankets are designed to be as breathable as possible. The weight comes from high-quality glass beads rather than heavy, heat-trapping filling. We use breathable cotton fabrics to keep our blankets comfortable for year-round use. You get the calming weight, without the unwanted heat.

What is the difference between the options?

All our blankets are designed to provide the same calming, even weight. The difference is in the fabric and features:

  • Signature Collection Weighted Blanket – made from our most premium Egyptian cotton fabric; includes a detachable flat cotton sheet on the underside for easier cleaning
  • Luxury Weighted Blanket – made from a premium cotton fabric; includes a detachable flat cotton sheet on the underside for easier washing
  • Premium Weighted Blanket – made from the same materials as the Luxury, but without the detachable sheet
  • Experience Weighted Blanket – a Small Premium Weighted Blanket designed as a special introductory option 
How do I wash and dry my weighted blanket?

All our weighted blankets can be machine or hand washed. Our Luxury and Signature Weighted Blankets include a detachable flat cotton sheet on the underside, which makes regular washing more practical.

Avoid tumble drying or dry cleaning your weighted blanket to prevent damaging the fabric. The blankets can be air dried alongside your other linen.

Our weighted blankets are designed to be used often and cleaned easily.

Can I return my weighted blanket if it does not work for me?

Yes of course. If you are not satisfied with your weighted blanket after trying it out for 7 nights, you can contact us within 30 days of purchase and we will arrange for it to be collected, and the purchase price fully refunded. You can view our returns policy here. Please note that the Experience Weighted Blanket cannot be returned.

What if I am not sure a weighted blanket is right for me?

That’s exactly why we created our Experience Weighted Blanket offer. The Experience Weighted Blanket is a smaller size (ideal for using as a lap pad) and allows you to experience the look and feel of our blankets without a large upfront investment. If you decide you’d like to upgrade to a larger size within 60 days, we’ll credit the full purchase price of your Experience Weighted Blanket towards your new blanket – and you get to keep the Experience Weighted Blanket.
